singlehood

Dear J ,

People  said " friends will  tell ya what you wanna hear . But great friends will tell ya what you DON'T wanna hear . "   ~   And  I know you always count on me for a reality check ........

Yup  I find  you're  becoming a " bloody whinger " ( someone who complains a lot )  recently  ~  Really you're  becoming one of those bitter cynical and relationship obsessed single people and I 'm not the only one voicing this opinion .

Come on focus on the joys of single-hood  ~  The ability of being spontaneous and planning  your life without checking with anyone else .  You can get to know the real  self  ~ join a yoga class read a book and spend the whole afternoon at the park .  You can flirt with whoever  you want  AND  if  you don't like it you can do something about it ~  BUT  stop wasting  your life waiting for a marriage prospect ! ~ You may never have the opportunity for a suitable marriage in this life so stop waiting and start moving . Prepare yourself for life — even a single life — by education experience and planning . Don't wait for happiness to be thrust upon you . Seek it out in serving your community learning or anything that would make yourself happy ....  Make a life FOR YOURSELF . ..... Really  whether you end up single or not You will need a career  or at least a hobby you can enjoy regardless . If you happen to get married  then all the better .  If not then you just keep working on it on the side . Sure I know  for some women it is different  ~  marriage is a life  ~ redirecting experience  for good or ill .

No , it is not a message from Dr Phil   .... but your good frd Currie
