Alone doesn't necessarily mean lonely

My frd  Christine surprised me when she handed me her wedding invitation yesterday morning.  She told me she actually " begged "  the guy  she only knew him for three weeks ,  to marry her !!!!! 
It was then when I realized ppl are tooooo afraid of being alone !! 
Society has led us to believe that being alone  =  lonely .  The thot of going to the movies or eating at a restaurant alone is almost unthinkable .  We feel like everyone's looking , judging us and feeling sorry for having no one . 
Honestly  ,   I hardly have such fear but I do know some ppl  ,  even temporary isolation like waking up alone in the middle of the nite scares them .  They would frantically search for the remote control and turn on the  tv  ~  even there's  actually nothing good to watch . They feel safe just hearing the sounds .  They are too afraid to be left alone with themselves !
To me ,  those times when I wake up in the middle of the nite are the moments of self-exploration and soul searching . So I'm not afraid of being alone or of having no one  ~  after all ,  the best relationship we can have is the one with ourselves !
