Men Don't cry ?

Just like men never know what to do when women cry   ，  I have no idea what to do when a man starts crying   ~   granted it doesn't happen often but when it does I feel like peeking into his secret zone and invading his privacy . Guess it's becoz we've always been taught that tear is a sign of weakness  ，  of vulnerability and that tear should be shed in secret ~ especially for men .

One of my frds have been ignoring phone calls and not showing up to work for a week . When he showed up randomly @ my door late last nite  ，  I was ready to yell @ him for making his frds n family worry  ,  but when I saw his weary face and countless of cigarette butts on the porch ，  my anger went out the door. 

I stayed with him all nite long . He laughed ， he cried  ， and he cried some more ....... his hot tears falling on my arms and asking me questions I couldn't answer .  He eventually fell asleep from sheer exhaustion ...... 

He gave me a smile before he left in the morning and told me he'll see me around . His 2 extremes behaviors made me wondered if  it was a dream last nite , but his lighter is still sitting on my patio table where he left it.  

I think he'll be okay . Perhaps he just needed to cry to someone .  I think many ppl would hope that they have this same courage  ...  for I believe many ppl have to cry with the water running so no one could hear them . I feel like what my frd showed wasn't a sign of weakness but the opposite ~ really  ，  it takes so much more strength to cry in front of someone than to cry  and suffer in secret .....
