Rat Race

Had a catch up lunch with some of my distant relatives before the New Year. They're a bit disappointed that they had not accomplished much for the year. 

I could not help but think about our need for validation ~ our need to value our accomplishments and our need to accomplish things. So often ，ppl measure their success in figure / number  ~  in school ， they compare their marks; @ work ， they compare their salary ; between frds ，they compare the size of their house ; between men ，they compare about how many gals they've sleeping with and for women ，they compare about the boobs size .......... But does it all matter in the whole scheme of life ，I wondered ?! 

I know I'm totally missing out right from the beginning ... for I had decided to run the other way and not follow everyone in the rat race .
