Comfort Zone
I’m @ a point in my life where I’m trying to let go of the past and move on ~ But you know how it is ~ oftentimes we have this tendency to resist change. We’re so reluctant to let go of things that we’ve been so used to , and try something else or something new.
I always have this tendency to cling to things that are comfortable and familiar . Very likely it's becoz of my fear and insecurity . I don't usually welcome change , I’m too scared to let go of the old and familiar. It’s an annoying habit. Sometimes I wish I could throw cautions to the wind and do something completely new and out of the ordinary. I think it’s the age-old reason that it’s better to have the old and familiar, than risk to lose everything ~ @ least , I always have the safety net that I can fall back in.
Sure , there are days when I’m feeling all revved up and my mind is made up , and I’m ready to take the jump . But other days , I shut myself in the same old cage !!!! Nevertheless , it’s definitely something that I should continue to try . Maybe someday in this new year , I’ll finally let go of the old , and embrace the new !!!!
